Quality Management Department

The purpose of the Quality Management Department is to manage a unified organizational framework that ensures the quality and effectiveness of the operations of the departments and activities of Cretan Healthcare.

Obtaining the Quality Certificate from an internationally accredited Quality Management System Certification Organization is a tangible confirmation of our commitment to the consistent and effective fulfillment of the requirements of our patients and partners.

The Quality Assurance System complies with the principles of transparency and written documentation, as derived from the current standard EN ISO 9001:2015 (Certificate Registration Number: 01010245).

Premium Quality Certification Services ISO 9001 : 2015

Cretan Medicare prides itself for being the first outpatient medical center in Crete which has been certified with the seal of ISO 9001:2015.

ISO 9001:2015 is a yearly certification that a company is awarded for establishing and following strict, international standards through control checks. This seal of approval is a guarantee to our patients that we uphold and follow these high quality standards throughout the year.

European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)

Cretan Medicare was funded for its modernization under the Business Program “Digital Convergence” with the co-financing of Greece and the European Union.

EPAnEK 2014–2020 Operational Programme Competitiveness–Entrepreneurship–Innovation

The company IATRIKI FRONTIDA KRITIS MEDICAL S.A., based in the Region of Crete, has been included in the action “Upgrading of very small and small enterprises for the development of their capabilities in new markets”, with a total budget of €310 million.

The aim of the action is to improve the quality of offered products and services or to create new products/services that address specific market needs. In addition, the investment projects may aim to reduce costs or increase the efficiency of operational and production processes, and the action concerns all regions of the country.

The total budget of the investment amounts to €200,000.00, of which the public expenditure amounts to €100,000.00 and is co-financed by Greece and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union.

The approved and implemented business plan includes investments in the following categories:

  • Buildings, facilities, and surrounding area
  • Machinery – Equipment
  • Intangible expenses
  • Payroll costs of employees (existing and/or new staff)

Through participation in the Action, the company achieved:

  • Improvement of its competitiveness
  • Increase in profitability
  • Strengthening of extroversion
  • Market expansion through the addition of new services
  • Provision of higher quality services
  • Improvement of operational procedures
  • Strengthening of entrepreneurship
  • Creation of quality jobs

With the contribution of EPAnEK, the company—operating in a key sector of the Greek economy—has been strengthened, yielding benefits for the country’s competitiveness as well as for the local economy and the market in which it operates.

The enterprise was funded by the ‘Competitiveness’ Programme (NSRF 2021-2027) Action ‘Advanced Digital Transformation for SMEs’ of the ‘Digital Transition for SMEs’ Package of Actions. The Action aims at upgrading micro-, small, and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) of Medium Digital Maturity, through the utilisation of advanced systems and technologies.
